Anthony Moore, President and CEO

Anthony Moore started Strategic Applications & Technologies, Inc. to create a unique work culture that was practically nonexistent in the information technology industry. His goal was to build a company where employees could freely contribute to its growth and aid in setting the strategic direction of the company. To accomplish this goal, he called on his experience as Vice President of Enterprise Services with Edge Technologies, Inc. There he managed a staff of three, which he built to more than 37 personnel supporting NSA and other government contracts. In two years Anthony significantly increased revenue by over 200%. He also developed partnerships with Fortune 1000 companies.

During four years of service with Electronic Data Systems (EDS), Anthony filled the role of Director, United States Government 500 Group. He provided hands-on program management expertise for a large scale, web-based (Sybase), $10M Department of Defense (DoD) program, and a mid scale, web-based (Oracle), $4M production and maintenance system for the Air Force. During this time, he successfully designed and implemented the Oracle-based Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) prototype.

In his role of Sales Executive with EDS, Anthony sold the $6.5M JPAS contract and won client approval, earning him an invitation to come on board prior to conceiving the proposal to create a joint system between DoD and the Air Force. Anthony articulated his vision and persevered in overcoming all obstacles to prove the viability of the project in less than one year. In addition, Anthony cultivated existing client relationships and established new contacts on an ongoing basis to generate revenue in the intelligence arena (including the CIA, NSA, DIA, DoD and NIMA), national security forces and international markets.

While serving in the active Air Force and the reserves, Anthony served in multiple leadership positions. Assigned to various intelligence organizations as a second lieutenant, he worked his way to major while managing large contracts and implementing multiple systems in fixed site and tactical stations. The highlight of Anthony’s military career was being selected as Executive Officer to a General Officer.

Anthony holds a Master of Science degree in Human Resources from Central Michigan University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Alabama State University.

Anthony is a member of the Washington, DC chapter of the Big Brother and Big Sister program, and the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity.
